Privacy
This page describes what this site currently collects and why. It is a practical disclosure, not a claim that one policy satisfies every jurisdiction.
Current newsletter status
Email signup is currently paused. This build does not render an email form, and the newsletter API rejects direct submissions before reading the request body or writing to the database. RSS remains available without sharing an email address.
Newsletter data
If email capture is enabled later, a subscription sends the email address, signup source, source URL, landing path, referrer when available, capture time, current analytics consent state, and campaign or advertising identifiers present in the landing URL.
When enabled, AppHeat uses that information to record and manage the subscription, understand which public page led to it, prevent duplicate signup events, investigate delivery problems, and measure newsletter interest. AppHeat does not sell newsletter signup data.
Retention and deletion
New collection stays disabled until AppHeat has a documented retention schedule, a verified unsubscribe path, and a private way to request deletion. Disabling capture prevents new records; it does not by itself delete historical records that may have been collected while the form was previously enabled.
AppHeat does not currently publish a private privacy-request email address. Do not post an email address or other personal information in a public GitHub issue. This page will be updated before capture is re-enabled.
Processors
Cloudflare hosts the site and the disabled newsletter endpoint. When capture is enabled, first-party signup records are stored in Cloudflare D1. Cloudflare may also process ordinary request and security metadata as part of hosting the site.
If capture is re-enabled and the signup form names an additional newsletter provider, that provider also receives the submitted fields and is responsible for its own processing. An action URL or provider setting cannot enable capture without the separate safety gate.
Site analytics
AppHeat uses Fathom Analytics to understand which public pages are useful. Fathom runs separately from the newsletter form; AppHeat does not send the email address entered in that form to Fathom. Optional cookie-based analytics stay off unless they are separately configured and the site presents the relevant choice.
Your choices and contact
You can use RSS without sharing an email address. The public AppHeat author identity is juniorlovestmh. That profile is the current public contact reference, but it is not a private deletion channel. Email capture remains paused while that operational gap is unresolved.
